The Sisters of Providence have an interesting composting project going in Terre Haute. They have also started to convert to biomass to reduce their power consumption. Some people talk about conservation, it appears the Sisters of Providence are actually doing something about it.

As we mentioned in a previous post, some coffee shops will give you their coffee grounds for free.

Here's an article that lists 163 things you can add to your compost pile, going well beyond the usual grass clippings and leaves. Now it includes some things that other folks don't recommend (e.g citrus peelings tend to decompose slowly so they are on some people's list of things to not add to the compost pile, but it is interesting reading, as it includes some unusual items such as

Toenail Clippings
Old leather gardening gloves
